03The person behind the medals
I was adopted at six months old, and I've always been very open about how much that shaped the person I became. I was given an opportunity in life, and it's one of the reasons family, friendship and helping other people mean so much to me.
I love bringing people together. Whether that's athletes, a corporate team, a group of men talking honestly about life, or young people who've had a difficult start, I believe energy and encouragement can change what someone thinks is possible.
Sport gave me confidence, discipline and an incredible life. Now I enjoy using those experiences to help other people find some of that belief for themselves.

Two very different careers.
I spent fifteen years competing at world level, winning Olympic silver, World and European gold and setting a British indoor 400m record that still stands today.
When racing stopped, a very different career began — television, presenting, business and entrepreneurship. Along the way I've learned as much from setbacks and reinvention as I ever did from winning.
I was adopted at six months old, and that story has also shaped who I am. Family, identity, opportunity and helping other people believe in what's possible matter enormously to me.
Today I bring those experiences together through speaking, presenting, brand partnerships and the projects I choose to be part of.
